Laser Technology & Oral Cancer Screenings

During an oral cancer screening, lasers can be used to remove a small piece of tissue from the mouth (called a biopsy), so that it can be examined for cancers or other abnormalities.

Periodontal Care with Laser Dentistry

In cases of advanced periodontal disease, gums will pull away from the teeth – leaving deep pockets where bacteria can grow and damage roots. A small laser is used to access the area between the gums and teeth to sterilize and gently blast bacteria away.
