Dental Implants
Dental Implants are a Great Solution for One or More Missing Teeth
Dental implants are often a lasting and effective solution for replacing missing teeth to regain both function and the aesthetic appeal of a fuller, more natural smile. During a tooth implant procedure, a dental professional will attach a single replacement tooth (a dental bridge or partial denture) if only one or two teeth are missing, or full dentures if there is significant tooth loss.
The Dental Implant Procedure
In essence, tooth implants serve as artificial roots for replacement teeth. Once the artificial titanium root is carefully inserted into the jawbone, it is left to heal for three to six months to create a strong foundation for the artificial tooth. Next, a natural-looking replacement tooth is crafted to place on the implant. Once the procedure is complete, you’ll be left with a replacement tooth that looks almost as real as a natural one.
